ABOUT BLACK RAISINS, DRIED GRAPES
From the field to your home, in its immaculate and natural flavor; Turkey’s Black Raisins.
Black Raisins are one of the first fruits that humanity started to grow, has also turned into many different products. Vinegar, wine and molasses are made from grapes. In winters, black raisins are prepared so that we do not stay away from the delicious taste of the raisins. Even more raisins are consumed than fresh grapes. Raisins can be used wherever imaginable. It can be preferred for cookies and cakes as well as some savory dishes. It is a particularly preferred ingredient in salty foods in Eastern European cuisine.
There are many different types of raisins. Since grapes are grown all over the world, every geography has different grape types. The most delicious of these have emerged in Turkey in the history of grape cultivation for thousands of years. We are hosting many varieties from golden yellow sultana grapes to sour raisins that we export to the whole world. Among them is the famous Kilis Karası black grape. Kilis Black Raisin is much larger than normal raisins and has seeds. Its taste is sweeter than sultanas grapes. It has an intense, molasses-like flavor. Kilis Karası is preferred for eating directly rather than being used in dishes and desserts. Big and sugary make it an indispensable part of mixed cookies. Although it may be intimidating to some, it actually has very small and few seeds and is extremely easy to eat.

Very happy to find these: not golden, not brown, authentically black raisins variety, the one I remember from the market many years ago, where the vendors would arrive from Caucus regions carrying these

The product was first quality, order fulfillment is also equally of first quality. I was initially skeptical and routed payment through PayPal but I’m now fully convinced that I can trust them with my credit card and place my future orders.

Plump, sweet, delicious! Conveniently packaged in a recloseable cellophane bag, I was both highly surprised and satisfied of the product’s freshness. I was also impressed at the speed of delivery – two days! Definitely will make Grand Turkish Bazaar my go-to source for quality and timely service!

These raisins are the best raisins I’ve ever had! They are large and plump, and have a sweet, smooth, mellow, taste that is different and better than traditional raisins found in the US. They’re soft and gooey in the inside which is really nice, and but they do contain seeds inside, which make the raisins crunchy. I like to pick out the seeds and save them for potentially growing my own grapes, but if you don’t want to be bothered with this, a seedless variety may be more convenient but overall I like these a lot and will definitely be a regular customer. Also shipping was extremely fast and efficient. I received updates every step of the way and they arrived several days earlier than what was originally estimated. Highly recommend!

My first time tasting these. I thought they would be like the Afghani Kishmish black raisins, but these are different. Larger, more plump , and contain a crunch from the seeds, different , but delicious. These are nothing like the SunMaid raisins in the U.S. .
