Blue Butterfly Pea Tea
- No chemicals,
- No additives,
- Nothing but Pure Blue butterfly tea!
It is obtained by sun-drying the flowers of the Blue Butterfly Pea orchid plant, which grows in mountainous areas in the northern region of Thailand. It is widely consumed in South East Asian cuisine both as a herbal tea and as a natural food coloring.
Blue Butterfly Flower has long been used in India as part of alternative medicine to cleanse the body of waste and stress. Blue Tea, also known as Blue Butterfly Tea, or Blue Butterfly Pea Tea, offers the taste of rice with the aroma of orchids.
It gives a deep blue color when brewed without any additives. Optionally, you can add a slice of lemon or lemon juice and honey. You can observe that lemon or any acid changes the color of blue tea from blue to pink/purple. If you wish, you can make your own experiments by blending them with our different teas.
