Menengic Coffee, Osso, 200g – 7.05oz
Menengic is the basic plant of Menengic Coffee; it is a type of pistachio tree that grows wild in Southeastern Anatolia, Central Anatolia and the higher parts of the Mediterranean region in Turkey. This plant, known as Pistacia Terebinthus in Latin, named Çitlembik, Çıtlık, Bıttım and Çedene according to the regions where it is grown, grows slowly and can reach up to 10 meters. Although it grows in all soil types, it gives the best yield in dry and soft soil.
Menengic blooms in red and turns blue/purple when ripe. The ripe beans are collected, washed, then dried. After it is dried, it is roasted and roasted like coffee until it turns dark brown. After the normal roasting process, the coffee beans are crushed until they reach a paste consistency. The oily and granular paste obtained is called Menengic Coffee.
Menengic coffee does not contain caffeine like other coffees. Because it is completely natural, the benefits are countless. It is good for helping shortness of breath, vocal cords, respiratory tract, stomach, and kidney. It also has an aphrodisiac effect. It contains protein, fiber, fat, phosphorus, calcium, iron, potassium, vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin C and vitamin E. It has no known side effects. As with everything else, it is useful to be in moderation while consuming this drink.
Unlike Turkish Coffee, Menengiç Coffee is more relaxing to the stomach and facilitates digestion.
Menengic is cooked in a pot on slow fire just like Turkish coffee. Two teaspoons of menengic coffee, a cup of milk, and optional sugar are added per cup. Boil two times by stirring continuously. It can be served with nuts and water.
It has an oily aroma similar to pistachio and has a soft taste.
Bon Appetit.

I was hesitant due to the reviews, but if you watch videos on how to do it, and have the right proportions, it is so delicious. I will always purchase from here.

It is a very good, very tasting, nice and smooth , bonus is that it is easy on digestion ; a wonderful alternative (to Turkish coffee )! I missed my morning cup of Turkish coffee; but I had to stop drinking it. Indeed , thankfully
my daughter had a cup ,at a Restaurant in Nashville,TN.
I HAD TO TRY IT! I had been a Turkish coffee drinker for YEARS !!
Sadly, about a year ago, I could not drink Turkish coffee., anymore..
Now I have a perfect
“Turkish Coffee”. With no problem ! PLUS , it is caffeine free!
I highly recommend it!

I heard about Menengic coffee alternative from a BBC article. After extensive research I landed at Grand Turkish Bazaar to get the brand most people buy. I was so excited to try it and I was not disappointed! It’s a delicious nutty brew. I even bought a turkish pot from here and we’ve been making it at night. I will definitely purchase it again. Also this website shipped everything fairly FAST. Thank you!
