Turkish Delight (Lokum) is a confection made from starch and sugar. It is often flavored with rosewater, mastic or lemon; rosewater gives it a characteristic pale pink color. It has a soft, jelly-like and sometimes sticky consistency, and is often packaged and eaten in small cubes dusted with icing sugar or copra to prevent clinging.” Sometimes little pieces of nuts like pistachios, hazelnuts & walnuts are added too.

The flavour on this is awesome, not only do you get the sweetness of the starch and the sugar coming through, but also the nuttiness of the pistachios. It is so well made that you need a sharp knife to cut a piece off and enjoy it. Great product, will buy again, but maybe leave the slicing to Grand Turkish Bazaar. Can’t wait to try other flavours.
