Semolina Halva Recipe

Are you wondering how to make a delicious and traditional irmik helvasi recipe at your home? Here we share the best semolina halva recipe with you.

Ingredients

2 cups semolina
2 cups of milk
1.5 cups of sugar
4 spoons of butter

How to make semolina halva

Put the butter in the pan and melt it.
Put the grits in it and start roasting.
Continue roasting the grits until they change color.
Slowly pour the milk over the semolina completely roasted with butter, and while pouring the milk, stir quickly.

Continue mixing until the semolina draws milk.
Add the sugar in it last. Continue mixing quickly.
After this stage, take the halva from the stove and let it cool.
You can serve with ice cream upon request.
Bon Appetit…

TIP POINTS

Butter should be used when making halva.
It should be waited at the beginning because semolina smells bad even if it is too little.
Sugar should always be put last, so its consistency is easier to attach.

I didn’t think I’d ever get to have Halva again especially in UK but when I saw i could order it I was excited. This was my favourite pudding in Turkey and now here lol. A simple warm up in a pan then add ice cream once dished out it reminded me of how much I love this semolina/ halva..thank you so much. It arrived on time and in great condition.

Only place that sells Semolina Halva that I could find

I was looking for Semolina Halva in multiple ethnic supermarkets and online in the UK but northing.
This product arrived fast, was fresh and tasted exactly as I wanted it.
(pro tip, mix some pine nuts and sprinkle with cinnamon for a AAA experience)
