Ispir Haricot Bean
The story of Ispir Haricot Bean, which is grown in Ispir district of Erzurum, goes back thousands of years. It is produced in traditional ways in the region that includes the fertile Coruh Basin, with high altitude and low humidity level. Ispir Bean production starts in October with the preparation of the field for the next season. Afterwards, a rake is thrown into the field and fertilization and planting is done with natural goat manure. Due to the mountainous terrain, mechanized agriculture is not common, so it is collected and sorted manually one by one. You can consume Ispir Haricot Beans, which stands out with its features such as swelling in water, cooking early and not shelling when cooked, after soaking in cold water overnight, by cooking it with traditional methods.
